Laura Secord, the life of a soldier in the War of 1812 and a look at Grimsby's past will be featured at Lundy's Lane Historical Society meetings over the next three months.
On Thursday, Sept. 4, historian and author Dorothy Turcotte will present "Glimpses of Old Grimsby's Past."
The Oct. 2 meeting will feature "Laura Secord Revisited Again, a program by Alun Hughes, a professor of geography at Brock University.
The November meeting of the historical society will feature a presentation entitled "A Soldier in the War of 1812." Cheryl MacDonald, a historian and author, will make the presentation. That meeting is November 6.
The meetings are held at the LaMarsh Room of the Niagara Falls Public Library at 7:30 p.m. Annual memberships in the society are available for $10 per person or $12 per family.
