The year's top winner was Joanna Antonsen who received the T.A. Weldon cup for the highest number of points in both shows held in 2008. Antonsen receives a trophy for one year as well as a $25 gift certificate donated by Vermeer's Garden Centre. Antonsen had 130 points combined for both shows.

The Brockbank trophy for highest number of points in rose classes in both shows went to Greg White with 94 points. White received a trophy for the year as well as a $25 gift certificate donated by the Country Basket.

The society award for the highest number of points in specimen garden flowers in both shows was awarded to Betty Beck with 60 points. Beck received a $25 gift certificate donated by Broadway Gardens.

The Margaret McIntyre trophy, part of the August special awards, was given to Olivia Bojdak for her arrangement entitled "Table Tennis."

The arrangement coincided with the August theme of the Summer Olympics. This trophy is also referred to as the judge's choice. Bojdak received a $25 gift certificate donated by Stokes.
