CANUCKS RAISE CASH The Niagara Falls Canucks helped raise $1,200 for the Niagara Falls Royal Canadian Legion in a fun run last Sunday. Parents, children and participants enjoyed a lunch and a chance to meet the Canucks.

POPPY PATRIOT Reno Ciantar pins a poppy on Jennifer Hintenberger in the Sobeys plaza last Friday. Oct. 31 was the kickoff to the legion's annual poppy drive. For the past 10 years Ciantar has been at the Port Colborne Mall selling the red flower pins that pay homage to those who fought for their country in the First and Second World Wars and who continue to fight today. 218140 WORLD CLASS CONCERT

HOME SWEET HOME From the right, firefighters Doug Collee, Freddie Bellehumeur, Bob Lymburner, Justin Canesraro and training officer Jim Boutilier stop construction outside Fire Station One on Morrison Street. The team, with the help of Home Depot, are helping build a firefighter survival house, which will be used to teach firefighting techniques.. TRINITY OUTREACH Trinity United Church's second annual Ten Thousand Villages sale in Grimsby drew a huge weekend crowd to purchase goods made by artisans, the majority of them women, in 35 developing countries. A HEALTHY DONATION The Smithville Christian Preschool donated a variety of canned goods alongside $408 raised during a recent card campaign to West Lincoln Community Care last week.
