It wasn't in Beijing, but a team of local athletes competed on the Olympic stage earlier this month.
Six Lincoln Leaper rope skipping team athletes competed at the American Athletic Union (AAU) Junior Olympic National Championships in Detroit, Michigan. There were 540 athletes from all over the US, Australia, Canada, and Singapore competing in the event.
