The St, Catharines Downtown Association is bringing the big screen back to Downtown St. Catharines for the last three Thursdays of October. Playing will be six classic Halloween movies at the Market square, with shows starting at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. each night. AIDS Niagara will be on site for all three evenings, where they will be selling popcorn, candy and drinks. Don't forget to bring a chair. Admission is free. Upcoming lineups are as follows: Oct. 30 7 p.m. Beetlejuice, 9 p.m. Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Selected paintings by David Wright will be on display at The Gallery, Sean O'Sullivan Theatre, Brock University, until 31. Work includes large scale oil paintings of the Niagara Escarpment and Mexican Highlands.

The Heart of Niagara Fall Reading Series is hosted by the Pelham Public Library. Sing Niagara Women's A Cappella Chorus is dedicating four rehearsals starting Monday, Nov. 3 at 7 p.m., to sing holiday favourites and participate in our Christmas Concert on Dec. 1. The Sweet Harmony community choir welcomes new members to 7:30 p.m. practices on Wednesday nights at St. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, 300 Chaffey St. in Welland. The group performs sacred and secular music at functions across Niagara, from September to June. Call 905-899-3635.
