The City of Burlington is accepting applications for its citizen committees. Residents who are interested in local government and have a desire to make a difference in their community are encouraged to volunteer to serve on one of the nine committees. The deadline is Thursday (Nov. 6).
Burlington citizen committees provide council and staff with input about a wide variety of subjects through discussion, presentations and recommendations. Some committees also organize and participate in community events.
Forms are available at www.burlington.ca or in the clerks department of City Hall (426 Brant St.) on the first floor. For more information, visit www.burlington.ca or contact Deb Caughlin, manager of committee services, at 905-335-7600, ext. 7490, or e-mail her at caughlind@burlington.ca .
