Finding time to workout is now a whole lot easier for Lincoln residents.
Snap Fitness, a 24-hour fitness club providing fast and convenient facilities, has opened in the Sobeys plaza at 4610 Ontario St.
A grand opening celebration will be held Saturday, Nov. 15 from noon to 5 p.m. The celebration will feature a ribbon cutting ceremony, prize draws, and refreshments. All are welcome to come and meet the Snap Fitness team and tour our facilities.
Easier and more affordable than larger, "big box" health clubs, Snap Fitness offers a 24-hour a day, 365 day a year exercise alternative for busy individuals who want to stay active and fit without sacrificing time and convenience.
"We're an alternative to the full-service clubs," said owner Brad Koziey. "We offer state-of-the-art exercise equipment, but we are able to keep our membership costs low by eliminating services that a lot of on-the-go fitness club members may not need."
Memberships start at roughly $1-a-day. During the grand opening, enrolment is free.
"A great benefit for Snap Fitness members is that there are no contracts to commit to, and memberships can be frozen anytime," said Koziey.
In addition to offering the latest equipment, including elliptical machines, Woodway treadmills, Expresso bikes, free weights and large screen televisions with wireless sound, Snap Fitness also offers personal training services with certified fitness professionals.
As a 24-hour-a-day facility, security is a primary concern for Koziey. The club is under 24-hour video surveillance, and members enter the club with an electronic keycard. The security system also includes portable panic alarms that members can keep with them during workouts.
