The students at Maple Crest school in Fonthill have been letting their creative juices flow throughout the month of November and all their hard work will be on display today.

For the third year in a row, Maple Crest will be holding its Art Gala at Lookout Point in Fonthill.

"They're all original canvases and furniture," said Shannon McNevin, school director. "The children have made over 600 pieces."

The artwork will be unveiled today between 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. followed by a gala from 7-11 p.m.

McNevin said the students have worked on their artwok the entire month of November.

At 7:30 p.m., she said, the doors will be open to the public and tickets will be sold at the door for $20 or $35 for a couple.

"The money goes to Maple Crest, family and children services and bursaries for the school," said McNevin.

Last year, McNevin said they donated $3,000 to Family and Children Services.

Hors D'eouvres will be served and a live and silent auction will take place.
