Council has rescheduled its next regular council and committee meeting.
The meeting scheduled for Aug. 19 has been moved ahead a week to Aug. 12.
The decision to reschedule the meeting came after Coun. Nancy Rogers told council there was a four-week break between this week's meeting and the next.
She told councillors that there could be a lot of reports coming back to council in August and thought that moving the meeting ahead one week would scale back the agenda for the next meeting.
She also said the rock band April Wine is set to play a concert at the Battle of Beaverdams Park on Aug. 19 and thought councillors may want to attend the concert.
After she made a motion to reschedule the meeting, some councillors and city staff said that moving the meeting ahead a week would conflict with other schedules, including a workshop set for Aug. 12 and a public meeting that could be set for the Aug. 19 date.
Mayor Henry D'Angela told Rogers that there are other people who could be busy and she should not be thinking about her own schedule.
Coun. Rogers then told the mayor that she took offence to his comment.
"I never do that," she said.
She told D'Angela that the reason she motioned to reschedule the meeting was for the benefit of the rest of council, not herself. After discussion, council voted to move the meeting ahead to Aug. 12.
