Niagara Peninsula Amateur Radio Club holds its meetings on the second Thursday of the month at 7:30 p.m.. at the legion located at 141 Highway 20 East, Fonthill, For more information check out www.nparc.on.ca or call 905-227-0155. Radio classes will be starting in the fall (no charge).

"Bread, Salt and Friendship," an exhibit showcasing the Slovak community in Welland. Textiles, glassware, objects gathered from the community detailing the journey to Welland. Their story is told through numerous artefacts and photographs. This exhibit is now open and will run indefinitely. Also new at the museum is the exhibit "It all started with bottles," a showcase of historican George Chipman's collection of all things Welland.

The Welland Air Cadets, 87th Eagle Squadron, will be tagging in the evening, and all day Friday and Saturday. Your donations are appreciated as you see one of our uniformed cadets infront of retail establishments such as Zeyhrs, Canadian Tire, Walmart, Food Basics, Sobey's, The Liquor Store and The Seaway Mall. All donations will be directed to support costs for the Welland Air Cadets.
