The perennial favourite Pioneer Day will be in full bloom Saturday with the addition of 80 giant-size chrysanthemum plants donated to raise funds for the Jordan Historical Museum of the Twenty.
Museum Director Helen Booth said all proceeds from the flower sales will go the Jordan Historical Museum of the Twenty Volunteer Association (JHMTVA).
The museum grounds and Main Street in Jordan Village will also be transformed with the colour and excitement of the annual event that draws huge crowds to taste and feel the pioneer way of life.
New this year, the Twenty Valley Tourism Association will present the Jordan Farmers' Market with fresh produce and local fare.
The Mosaika garden in Jordan Village will be filled with the colourful creations of artisans participating in the 1st Annual Artisans in the Garden.
The event at Mosaika Gallery, is being held in coordination with Pioneer Day and in support of the Jordan Historical Museum.
Free parking and shuttle bus will be provided from the Jordan Arena.
Pioneer Day opens at 10 a.m. and runs to 4 p.m. Admission at the gates is $4 for adults, $3 for seniors, and children 10 and under, or $12 per family.
