All of the staff here at Project SHARE would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who helped with this year's edition of our door-to-door citywide Food Drive that took place this last Saturday.
The total weight of food donations acquired on the day of the event was 28,107 pounds. This total fell short in comparison to last year's amount by 2,985 pounds.
Everyone here is still optimistic that the public will still continue to support our efforts by making a donation this week, or whenever possible. All in all, over 160 volunteers helped to collect over 1,800 food drive bags ... and they had fun doing it! Our van driver is still busy collecting food from food drive drop-off locations throughout Niagara Falls. With the efforts from volunteers and sponsors, we were able to secure food to help replenish our emergency supply that will go to help the 50 to 60 families that Project SHARE helps daily.
