  • INAUGURAL POKER RUN to raise funds for Port Colborne Bikers Rights "Christmas in July." The event starts at the Montrose, 8675 Montrose Rd., Niagara Falls at 10 a.m. and ends at Parker's Pier, 247 Welland St., Port Colborne. $10 pp and $5 per passenger. 50/50 and draw and raffles. Money goes towards the purchase of groceries for a family in need.

     

  • SPRING GARAGE SALE at St. Therese School held by the catholic School Council. 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Family bbq, silent auction and raffles to accompany garage sale. Proceeds go towards summer trips for students.

  • P.A. DAY PROGRAM: JUDY MOODY DAY at the Wainfleet Township Public Library from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. For ages 6 and up. Celebrate the Judy Moody & Stink book series by Megan McDonald. A six-week program of stories, songs, activities and crafts for children ages 2 - 5 runs Thursdays from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. from March 6 to April 10.   • Port Colborne Horticultural Society will holding their monthly meeting on at 7:30 pm. Please note the different location for the meeting. The Meeting will be held at the Seniors Centre, 554 Fielden Avenue. Our special speaker this month is Paula Berkito. She is a Landscape Architect from Niagara Falls who will be speaking on "Ten Things not to do in your front garden." Light Refreshments will be available. Come out and join us and bring a friend. Remember our Plant Sale is on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 8:30 am at the Senior's Centre.
