JULY 5
Pasta Dinner at St. Paul's Anglican Church, 32 Idylewylde St. 5-7 pm. $10 per person. Proceeds to parish outreach. 905 871-6704.
JULY 5 & 6
Ridgeway Summer Festival, downtown Ridgway. Crafters, wildlife and cars on display, musical entertainment, demonstrations, clowns, a horse show, buskers, an auction, free entertainment and children's events including a candy floss eating contest. 8 am - 5 pm daily. Lions Club pancake breakfast, Ridgeway/Crystal Beach Kinsmen Club's annual street dance and party. Admission is free.
The Ridgeway Crystal Beach senior girls volleyball team will be holding a huge garage sale and BBQ outside of Ridgeway Crystal Beach High School starting at 7 am and running until late afternoon. All proceeds will go toward the girls' trip to a tournament in Hawaii next March break.
JULY 6
Friends of Crystal Beach Waterfront Park Concert Series. 7-8:30 pm. Steve Burnside and the Marquis, the "real deal" in Canadian Blues. His recordings range from vinyl 78s to mp3s played in 17 countries worldwide. He received "Entertainer of the Year" from NY's Blues Beat Magazine and was given the coveted "MUDDY" award. Waterfront Park at the end of Ridgeway Rd. in Crystal Beach. Bring your own lawn chair or blanket. Free family event sponsored by the Friends of Crystal Beach. Thunder Bay Property Owners Association dance with Dave Johns and Gary Smith at the Thunder Bay Community Centre, 2973 Hyman Ave. 8 pm-midnight and all proceeds go to the association's building fund. Join members for an evening of live music from local talent, dancing and fun. Admission is $5 in advance or $7 at the door and tickets are available from Joe at 905-894-1010.

Parkway Artists Guild members will be setting up tents for the "Art in the Gardens" fine art show and sale, on the grounds of the Niagara Parks Butterfly Conservatory from 10 to 4. Yimlei Yep 905-262- 0366.

Irish Canadian Connection - 2008 Golf Classic for the Ridgway-based Lupus Foundation of Ontario. Greenhills Golf and Country Club, London, Ontario. Registration 10:30 am, shot gun tee-off 11:30 am. Cocktails 5 pm followed by awards banquet and auction at 6 pm. Entry fee is $135 or dinner only is $50.
