BAKE SALE Port Colborne Hospital Auxiliary are having a bake sale in the front lobby of the Hospital from 9 a.m. There will also be some jewellry and used books.

HAUNTED HALLWAYS Community Living in conjunction with the Port Colborne and District Conservation Club are hosting Haunted Hallways at 100 McRae Ave. on Oct. 17,18, 19,24,25, 26, 29 and 30. From 5-7 p.m. for kid friendly spooks and 7 - 10 p.m. for older kid scary spooks. Cost is $5 a person and funds raised go to youth and children's programming. Call 835-8941 ext. 0 for more details.

38TH ANNUAL BOOK SALE of Canadian Federation of University Women Welland & District Chapter will be held at the Niagara Regional Exhibition Grounds, 1100 Niagara St., 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Great bargains on books, CDs and DVDs, children's books, games, puzzles and special collections. Proceeds to university scholarships for female graduates of 8 local secondary schools and to local charitable organizations. To donate items call 905-835-2291.

COUNTRY WALK AND GOLF breast cancer fundraiser at Whisky Run Golf Club. Dedicated to the women who have battled or are battling breast cancer. Proceeds benefit the Ramona Pizzo/Bonnie Jackson Breast Screening Centre at the Port Colborne General Hospital. Walk pledge sheets available at Boggio's Pharmacy, gold forms available at Whisky Run. P.A. DAY PROGRAM - Spooky Silhouettes from 11 a.m. to noon at the Wainfleet Township Public Library. This classic craft is great for Halloween decorations around the house. Ages 4 & up. No fee. Please call 905-899-1277 to pre-register your attendance.

GAMES WITH BYTE (In Celebration of Teen Read Week's Books with Bite Theme) from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Wainfleet Township Public Library. Ages 12 & up. Drop-in to try out the Library's new Nintendo Wii and play classic Pac Man! Highest score on Pac Man will win a family pass to Ripley's Believe It or Not! in Niagara Falls.

FAMILY WII NIGHT from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Wainfleet Township Public Library. All ages are invited to come out and try the Library's new Nintendo Wii, thanks to a generous grant from the Niagara Community Foundation. Not only great family fun, but great exercise too!

PATRON APPRECIATION DAY at the Wainfleet Township Public Library. Please come in to enjoy coffee, tea and treats as a small thank you for your loyal patronage.

? SENIORS WII BOWLING LEAGUE from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Wainfleet Township Public Library. Attention all seniors! Join us for some exciting Wii Bowling at the Library. Try out the new video game system, great for some light exercise and lots of fun! No prior experience required, we'll teach you how to play. Prizes and refreshments will be provided.
